The Rotunda, an elegant banquet facility, has now been restored to its original grandeur, taking its well-deserved place as one of the premier event facilities in southeastern Wisconsin. Rich in history, amenities, and luxury, The Rotunda can accommodate up to 200 guests in classic style.
The Rotunda features a grand dome, highlighted by beautifully hand-painted walls. The upper mezzanine allows your guests a beautiful view of the room below. Also available in the upper mezzanine is the hospitality suite. Perfect for not only ceremonies and receptions, but for any occasion as well. Guests of honor can prepare and relax with the utmost style and privacy.
Outside, your guests can mingle while enjoying cocktails and appetizers on the veranda and front steps. Small bistro tables line the space, bringing a bit of the elegant interior outdoors. With a great view of the hall in all its grandeur, the generous front stairway provides an ideal background for photos.
HISTORY OF THE ROTUNDA
The Rotunda, hewn from Bedford Limestone, stands as an outstanding example of Classic Revival architecture with 20th-century Neo-Classicism refinements. Six fluted Doric columns tower nearly 2-stories above the expansive curved portico.
A shallow coffered dome, meticulously tooled with copper, is a brilliant testament to the time-honored traditions of quality and craftsmanship.
The exterior is masterfully balanced with ornamentation continuing through the vestibule and beyond. The Rotunda boasts a 35-foot lobby, rich with refined elegance. The colonnade of stately two-story red marble columns are crowned with classically detailed gold capitals.
By day, sunlight cascades through a beautiful stained glass skylight and onto the circular coffered dome. By night, tiered gold chandeliers spanning four feet in width, create a gentle ambiance, diffusing facets of warmth into every corner.
