Meet Stefanie + Matt

Stefanie and Matt are a very laid-back, go-with-the-flow, and low-maintenance couple. They met each other on Hinge. Matt proposed to Stefanie on the beach in Gulf Shores!

Wedding Vision & Planning

Stefanie and Matt envisioned a very classic wedding with little attention to detail and a focus on dancing and celebrating with friends and family. They both truly had no images in their heads but all the other details just fell into place. Stefanie and Matt’s colors are dark olive green, white/cream, and gold. Their style vision was Gatsby, old Italian/classic, and “mansion feel.”

All in the Details

The cake wasn’t a big deal to Stefanie and Matt, so they followed tradition with a single-layer cake.
Flowers weren’t a top priority either, but a family friend beautifully brought their vision to life.
They wanted rustic, classic fall flowers without going too dark into winter tones.

As for favors, the couple knew most guests forget or toss them.
Instead, they decided to donate to two charities where the money would be better spent.
Stefanie and Matt are donating to a local dog shelter and Catholic charities—honoring their faith and love for dogs.

When it came to the gown, Stefanie had no idea what she wanted at first.
She quickly realized her style wasn’t trendy and needed more customization than expected.
Luckily, Stefanie found Brizan Couture, and Sue helped design parts of her Maggie Sottero gown.
At checkout, Stefanie’s mom surprised her by gifting her the gown. According to Stefanie, it truly doesn’t get better than that!

Advice to Other Brides

“Do not stress, this is about you and your commitment to each other; not anyone else. If you do stress, do all the details with a glass of wine or beer in hand; we realized it helps greatly!”
