BIRCH MKE WEDDING

Holly and Derek were wed on August 20th with a ceremony and reception at Birch MKE in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

MEET HOLLY & DEREK

Holly and Derek met on Bumble. It took them forever to meet up, and of course, the first time they did it was because Holly’s friend convinced her to text Derek and ask him to meet up. The rest is history! Together, Holly and Derek have a year and a half old pup named Lilo.

THE PROPOSAL

Derek had it planned for quite a while for six or seven months. He wanted to take one life event at a time and therefore wanted to graduate college before proposing. On the night of his graduation party, he proposed to Holly with all of their friends and even his family from California.

WEDDING VISION & PLANNING

Holly and Derek envisioned an outdoor wedding with an industrial vibe. They wanted to create the perfect day for all friends and families to come together from California, Illinois, and Wisconsin to celebrate the wonderful love we have for each other. The color palette is white, sage, and gold.

ALL IN THE DETAILS

The flowers are all white with greenery to accentuate the dresses and the venue. Holly and Derek skipped the cake and went for the popular crumbl cookies. The dress is from Bliss Bridal and the bride DIY’d her Nikes with a bedazzled swoosh.

DIY ELEMENTS

Where do we begin… Holly and Derek made their own set of bags boards to be used as guest book. The arch was made by the bride and her father. They also had a neon sign with their last name for people to take photos under.
