Travis’s personality can be described as fun, very caring, and detailed oriented (he’s an electrical engineer). Travis is someone who always has to have a project and stay busy. He’s always willing to help his friends and family out whenever they need him.
Paula’s personality is type A,. She is a nurse and loves to help people when she can. Paula said she is a little bit of a control freak, and likes to make sure that everyone else is taken care of.
Travis and Paula met through two of their best friends! They met at their going away party! Travis and Paula kept in touch afterward and ending up going on date a few months later! Paula still lived in Minnesota at the time, and Travis lived in Wisconsin. The couple tried long-distance until Paula eventually moved back to Wisconsin.
Travis proposed in Door County! Paula and Travis were camping in Peninsula state park, Door County is one of Paula’s favorite places in Wisconsin, it has a special place in her heart. They were setting up their campsite looking over the water and Travis proposed.
Paula said it was hard to envision their wedding because we got engaged during COVID! Paula and Travis hoped to have their immediate family and closest friends having a blast no matter how big or small our wedding would be! Their color palette is navy blue, sage green, blush, white, champagne/gold with the style vision being modern and elegant.
Paula and Travis describe their wedding as so fun and they wouldn’t have changed a thing! Their favorite moment was having everyone was together at the reception.
Paula and Travis’s flowers are done by one of the couple’s close friends, Hayley Kleppin Nelson who is amazing! They will incorporate all of their wedding colors and be utilized throughout the venue! Paula’s gown is very unique, from Evermore bridal in Brookfield. It’s off the shoulder with a keyhole back, with a beautiful train. The wedding favors are one of Paula’s favorite parts of their wedding. The favors are a photo booth frame that will double as our place card holder! Travis and Paula’s cake and cupcakes are from Sally’s Sweet Shoppe in Genesee Depot. They selected a single-layer cake for themselves and two different kinds of cupcakes for all of the wedding guests, lemon berry with cream cheese butter frosting and chocolate mint with chocolate buttercream frosting.
The wedding invites were created from a template that Paula bought on Etsy, along with their signs and place cards will be designed with a template from Etsy. The backdrop behind the head table was designed and coordinated by Travis’s mom.
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and don’t be afraid to delegate! It will truly help your stress throughout the process.
Huge thank you to all of the amazing wedding vendors that made Paula and Travis’s day run seamlessly. Congratulations Paula and Travis on the start of your next great adventure 🙂
