Holly + Derek’s Milwaukee Engagement

MEET HOLLY & DEREK

Holly and Derek met on Bumble. It took them forever to meet up, and of course, the first time they did it was because Holly’s friend convinced her to text Derek and ask him to meet up. The rest is history! Together, Holly and Derek have a year and a half old pup named Lilo.

THE PROPOSAL

Derek had it planned for quite a while for six or seven months. He wanted to take one life event at a time and therefore wanted to graduate college before proposing. On the night of his graduation party, he proposed to Holly with all of their friends and even his family from California.

This adorable couple celebrated their Milwaukee engagement with pictures in downtown Milwaukee at the art museum and Discovery World.

WEDDING PLANNING

Birch MKE will be the gorgeous setting for Holly and Derek’s August wedding. Holly really wanted a warehouse venue for their wedding. Derek didn’t love the idea of a warehouse and learned pretty quickly that Holly had her heart set on it. Derek still really wanted to have an outdoor space so the place felt more like him. When they walked into Birch MKE they know the place felt just right. It has a beautiful patio and garden space with string lights. It was perfect for both of them.

They are excited to include family and friends to celebrate the start of their marriage!
