The River Valley Historic Venue is historic Milwaukee at its best. Old world meets modern with cream city brick, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and wooden beams, all housed in a completed updated building featuring custom lighting, a new elevator, and state-of-the-art HVAC systems. It’s truly the best of both worlds. The third-floor cocktail lounge and the city view room features original artwork, custom-crafted bar, West Elm lounge furniture, Sonos sound system, and best of all – fantastic views of the city. Guests can enjoy stunning sunsets and night lights while mingling with friends and family.

HISTORY OF RIVER VALLEY HISTORIC VENUE

The venue’s building is owned and was renovated by a local architectural firm, CKA – Architects & Engineers. CKA paid special attention to maintaining the historic beauty of the building while updating all of its systems.

RIVER VALLEY HISTORIC VENUE EVENT SPACES

The River Valley Historic Venue is perfect for 150 guests or less. They can host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception – one place for everything which helps streamline wedding planning.

River Valley Historic’s first floor can host your ceremony, hold cocktail hour on the third floor (City View Room), and the reception back on the first floor after a room flip. Clients also have the option to hold their ceremony at another location (church, garden, etc.) and just host reception and cocktails at River Valley Historic Venue.

The bridal/dressing suite is a beautifully decorated room that is included in all wedding packages. It features mirrored beauty stations, a dress rack, mini-fridge, and a loveseat.

During warmer months, they offer an outdoor patio set-up featuring modern sectionals, matching tables, two bistro sets, an area rug, outdoor planters, and a propane fire pit (patio is an additional fee).

Couples looking for a unique space don’t want to settle for a carpeted ballroom at a chain hotel. Those who want to create a unique experience for themselves and their guests. At River Valley, clients have the option to choose the perfect caterer, bakery, and/or bar service that suits their tastes and needs. For bar service, we require you choose from our vetted list. Clients are not limited to a hotel or banquet hall’s standard menu.

River Valley Historic Venue is located close to Marquette University and Church of Gesu, Historic Third Ward, Milwaukee Art Museum, Lake Michigan’s lakefront, Milwaukee Public Market, Harley-Davidson Museum, Kimpton’s The Journeyman Hotel, The Iron Horse Hotel, Hyatt Regency, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, The Pfister Hotel, and just about anything in downtown Milwaukee.
