Kaylee and Derek celebrated their engagement with photos at The Fish Hatchery in Delafield, Wisconsin.

MEET KAYLEE + DEREK

This adorable couple met back in college and knew each other as acquaintances. Derek moved down to Tennessee for a few years. When he moved back to Wisconsin, Facebook informed Kaylee and they scheduled a time to meet for drinks and catch up. Derek asked Kalee out on their first date after that meeting. And the rest is history!

Together this extroverted and fun couple loves to watch sports/tv shows/movies as well as go out on date nights out together.

THE PROPOSAL

Derek proposed the weekend before Christmas. Kaylee and Derek were having some of Kaylee’s out-of-town family over for an early Christmas celebration. After all of the gifts had been opened, Derek said they all each had a Christmas present from his family that they all needed to open. His parents and sister were on a FaceTime call with him to watch Kaylee’s all open their “cards.” Well, everyone’s cards were blank, but Kaylee’s. It said Will You Marry Me? Derek got down on one knee, promised to love her for the rest of his life, and asked Kaylee to marry him. In between sobs, she said YES! Then surprise, in walks Derek’s parents!! They were parked out in the couple’s driveway waiting to celebrate with them. Then Derek made it even more perfect and had Kaylee’s best friend walk into the house! The evening turned into an impromptu engagement party with family and close friends. The perfect day!!

VENUE WEDDING PLANNING

Kaylee and Derek are planning their May wedding at the gorgeous Historic Courthouse 1893 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. They are excited to include family and friends to celebrate the start of their marriage!
