November 4, 2022 || Wedding at The Factory on Barclay in Milwaukee
As a team of Milwaukee wedding photographers, we understand how overwhelming it can feel to plan a wedding from out of state. Meghan and Kyle coordinated their day from Georgia, and it was such an honor to help bring their vision to life with flexibility, proactive support, and lots of joy along the way. Their November wedding at The Factory on Barclay was full of heartfelt moments, romantic details, and one very loved pup named Brewer.
Meghan and Kyle first met through mutual friends while Meghan was in pharmacy school. Their friendship grew into something more, and soon, they were building a life together in Milwaukee. Meghan describes herself as organized, goofy, and playful, while Kyle is grounded and loving—making them the perfect balance. Together, they love hiking, relaxing at home, and hanging out with their dog, Brewer.
Though Meghan had a feeling a proposal might be coming during their anniversary dinner, Kyle had something even more meaningful planned. She returned from a workout to find a beautifully decorated dining room, engraved locks, and Kyle dressed up with a card in hand. The proposal happened right there in their home—a space they had built together—making it deeply personal and unforgettable.
They envisioned a simple, timeless, and romantic wedding with a black, white, and greenery color palette. Their day came together beautifully with classic florals, sentimental touches, and a whole lot of love. One of our favorite details? The five Jordan almonds at each place setting, symbolizing health, love, happiness, fertility, and long life.
From a bouquet wrapped with a piece of Meghan’s grandfather’s shirt to a signature cocktail honoring their pets, every detail reflected their story. Their guest book featured six wine bottles—one for each milestone anniversary. For dessert, they offered mocha cream chocolate ganache cake, a variety of mini treats, and empanadas from La Masa for a late-night snack.
As photographers, it was important to us to capture not just the details but the feeling behind them. Meghan shared early on that she wanted more than just posed photos—she wanted her gallery to feel natural, joyful, and true to the day. We kept that top of mind every step of the way.
The day began with a sweet first look outside The Factory on Barclay. Afterward, we headed to Lake Michigan and Pier Wisconsin for portraits with their bridal party. Thanks to having two photographers, we were able to divide the group and keep portraits running smoothly—even with a packed schedule and shifting weather.
Meghan later shared how much she appreciated having a team that was “so flexible, easy to communicate with, and proactive” in making her vision happen. That kind of trust allowed us to capture a wide range of images—from scenic waterfront shots to quiet in-between moments.
Throughout the day, we made sure picture-taking felt fun and easy. We moved efficiently, adjusted when needed, and always looked for ways to keep things relaxed. Meghan mentioned that we “fit in so well” and helped make the whole experience seamless—which is always our goal.
When they received their gallery, Meghan described the images as “beautiful and so natural,” and that the turnaround time was “unreal.” Seeing how much joy they felt in their photos made every bit of planning and flexibility worth it.
“Take a step back and spend a date night when details feel overwhelming. Remember what getting married is all about!”
