Meet Erin + James

Erin describes herself as introverted, thoughtful, loyal, and sentimental. She values deep connections and the memories they create with loved ones. She’s a big believer that laughter is the best medicine and is drawn to people who bring joy and lightness.

James is exactly that. He’s easygoing, keeps things light, and doesn’t take life too seriously. He also has an eye for detail, loves adventure, and is always down to catch a good game. (Bear down!)

Together, Erin and James love staying active. They enjoy hiking, biking, running, and discovering new breweries along the way. They balance each other out beautifully—Erin brings heart, and James brings fun. It’s an easy, joyful partnership.

The Proposal

The proposal happened in Jackson Hole, Wyoming during a visit with James’s brother Justin and his girlfriend Catherine. James planned the date for 3/01—Erin’s birthday backward (10/3)—making it both clever and meaningful. As if James wasn’t already nervous, his brother hit a deer on the way to the proposal spot. Thankfully, they all made it to the famous Elk Antler Arch in Jackson Hole—yes, the one you can Google! James pretended they were just taking a photo under the twinkle-lit arch before heading to dinner. Then, he dropped to one knee. Erin totally freaked out—in the best way—and had no idea it was coming. To this day, they both still laugh about how perfectly surprised Erin was. It was truly unforgettable.
