Amanda and Kyle celebrated their engagement with photos in downtown Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Amanda and Kyle meet at a wedding. Amanda’s college best friend is Kyle’s cousin, and she attended a family wedding to help set up the food for part of the day. Kyle kept talking to her as she made sure the snack tables were full and that the wedding was going smoothly. At first, Amanda wanted nothing to do with Kyle because she was focused on her talks. But later, at the reception, the two started talking, and phone numbers were exchanged. A month later, Kyle hadn’t called at family Thanksgiving because he thought Amanda still didn’t want anything to do with him. But his cousin (Amanda’s best friend) encouraged him to call her. The two had their first date on January 1st, 2018, at Vagabond in downtown Milwaukee.
Fast forward exactly four years, on January 1, 2022, the couple attended a Marquette basketball game and went out with a few friends from college. One of those friends was Kyle’s cousin/Amanda’s best friend. Kyle and his cousin coordinated and convinced Amanda to “take photos” in from of the mini house sculpture by the Milwaukee Art Museum. Of course, the day was absolutely freezing and super windy. So when they got there, Amanda asked why she was getting out of the Jeep?!? The couple joked that this was the only house they could afford with a lake view, so they needed to check it out. After a few pictures by the house, Amanda and Kyle took a few by the “orange thing,” aka “The Calling” sculpture. As the couple often joked around when planning by saying, “I have a proposal for you,” this is the exact statement Kyle used to start his proposal to Amanda. As soon as he was down on one knee, Amanda was shocked that she gave Kyle a small shove in disbelief. She then said yes, and the rest is history!!!
Amanda and Kyle are planning their winter wedding at the gorgeous Twelve29 in Lannon, Wisconsin. They are excited to include family and friends to celebrate the start of their marriage!
