Halverson House is a historic and gorgeous barn wedding venue in Waterford, Wisconsin. The Halverson House was originally built by a family from Oslo, Norway. They moved to Wisconsin in the 1840s, built the barn in 1860, and finally the house in 1910. From the woodwork details to the gorgeous 120-acre property, the Halverson House is stunning. It offers backdrops and a family-friendly approach to serving you!

HALVERSON HOUSE EVENT SPACES

Halverson House’s 120-acre property is home to a wildflower surrounded duck pond and beautiful wildlife! The outdoor ceremony space takes place in the lush gardens facing the stunning architecture of the house itself. Halverson House also offers a large number of indoor event spaces.

The two-story Halverson House’s event spaces are perfect. The dining room is a great spot for your complimentary wedding day brunch. The living room has hosted post-wedding gift openings, and the bridal suite is a great spot for wedding day prep. There is even space for up to nine guests to spend the night in three victorian styled bedrooms.

The Granary is found across the gardens from the house. It is an ideal location for your groom and groomsmen to play pool, poker, or celebrate with a drink.

Halverson House’s ballroom in the main barn seats up to 200 guests. Its lower level houses up to 100 guests. From stunning handmade wooden tables to decorative metal chairs, Halverson House allows you to customize your wedding decor. They offer movable bars, a spacious courtyard, and even rentable china patterns!

Located in Waterford, the Halverson House is less than 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. It sits beside the Fox River near many local restaurants and even a kayak rental company.

“When we first looked at the Halverson House they were in the beginning stages of remodeling their amazing barn and property. Talking with the owners we knew it would be a wonderful and beautiful place to have our wedding, as their vision was amazing and we knew they would get it perfect.

Our wedding was in July of 2020 so we had many changes due to covid 19 and all the changing rules, through all of that they were very communicative about any changes and potential issues so everyone was on the same page.

The owners are such friendly, open, caring people, and it was a joy to go through the process with them. They were always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire process, especially in the last month. We called them so many times in the last weeks, and even the couple days before and they were always happy to answer whatever last-minute question we had. They made our day wonderful and go so smoothly. Everything about the venue was gorgeous and so comfortable and fun! They had everything they said for the day of, setting up the outdoor ceremony, setting up the tables how we picked to arrange, putting out the decor we got, having a great space for the guys and the girls to get ready separately, and they had an amazing brunch for the wedding party that morning.

I am so happy we chose to have our wedding there and that it all came together wonderfully with their help. They had so many perfect places to take pictures, as their whole venue looked wonderful.
