As Milwaukee wedding photographers, we have documented hundreds of celebrations, but Kellie and Christian’s wedding day was one of those effortlessly beautiful days that felt thoughtful from start to finish. Set along the water in Lake Country, their celebration blended timeless style, meaningful family moments, and a relaxed, joyful energy that made the entire day feel seamless. From lakeside views to golden hour portraits, it was exactly the kind of wedding day we love telling through imagery.

Getting Ready at The Delafield Hotel

Kellie began her wedding morning at The Delafield Hotel, surrounded by her bridesmaids and closest family. Natural light filled the space, setting a calm and joyful tone as the day began.

With two photographers on the scene, we captured Kellie stepping into her gown, sharing sweet moments with her mom, and putting on her grandmother’s bracelet, a meaningful detail she carried with her. Meanwhile, Christian got ready with his groomsmen at The Boathouse at The Commodore. The mood was relaxed and upbeat as the guys prepared for the day ahead.

Bridal Party Portraits & Lake Country Views

Once everyone arrived at The Commodore, we moved into portraits with the full wedding party. Kellie and Christian were surrounded by an incredible group of friends and family, and the energy was fun and effortless from the start.

We always aim to keep portraits easygoing so everyone can enjoy the experience. Between laughs, natural interactions, and classic groupings, we captured a mix of polished and candid moments that truly reflected their people. The lakefront setting added a timeless Lake Country feel to every frame.

A Waterfront Ceremony at The Commodore

Kellie and Christian exchanged vows at The Commodore, with Lake Nagawicka just behind them. The setting was elegant and serene, offering beautiful water views and an intimate atmosphere that felt deeply personal.

As they stood before their loved ones, we captured the ceremony from multiple angles. We preserve emotional glances, proud parents, and quiet moments in between. The natural light and waterfront backdrop created a romantic, timeless feel throughout the ceremony.

Golden Hour Portraits & A Celebration on the Water

Following the ceremony and cocktail hour, we stepped away with Kellie and Christian for golden hour portraits along the deck at The Commodore. The soft light over Lake Nagawicka created a romantic backdrop and gave them a few quiet moments together as newlyweds.

As the sun set, the celebration continued inside with heartfelt toasts, first dances, and a packed dance floor. Every detail of Kellie and Christian’s wedding felt intentional, elegant, and full of heart. It was an honor to capture their story at The Commodore.
