As Milwaukee wedding photographers, we’re lucky to witness so many beautiful celebrations, but Maddie and Brandon’s wedding day truly stood out. From heartfelt traditions to a stunning lakefront setting and a weekend filled with out-of-town guests experiencing Milwaukee for the first time, their day was a perfect blend of elegance, meaning, and joy. These are the kinds of celebrations we love documenting, where everything feels intentional, personal, and full of life.

Getting Ready Along the Milwaukee Lakefront

Maddie and Brandon’s wedding day began with excitement and anticipation as they got ready surrounded by their favorite people. With two photographers on the scene, we were able to document both sides of the morning as it unfolded.

Maddie spent her morning with her bridesmaids, stepping into her classic Anne Barge gown from Wedding Atelier and adding the final touches to her timeless bridal look. Soft light and calm moments set the tone for the day ahead. Meanwhile, Brandon got ready with his guys. While putting on his black tuxedo he shared laughs as the reality of the day began to sink in. These early moments are always some of our favorites, quiet, meaningful, and full of anticipation.

Bridal Party Portraits & Lakeside Views

Once everyone was ready, we moved into portraits with the full bridal party. Maddie and Brandon’s black-tie optional style came together beautifully. Their bridesmaids were in sleek black slip dresses and groomsmen in classic tuxedos.

We kept things relaxed and fun, capturing genuine interactions alongside polished portraits. With Lake Michigan as the backdrop, the scenery added a timeless summer feel that felt both elevated and welcoming.

A Meaningful Ceremony at Discovery World

The ceremony took place on the green lawn at Discovery World, overlooking the lake. The setting felt peaceful and elegant as Maddie and Brandon exchanged vows underneath their gorgeous chuppah with the water stretching behind them.

They thoughtfully incorporated their Jewish heritage throughout the day, beginning with the signing of the Ketubah and a veiling ceremony earlier on. During the ceremony, Maddie circled Brandon seven times. Rings were exchanged including a traditional gold band, and the glass was joyfully broken. These traditions added depth and emotion while keeping the celebration light and full of love.

Cocktail Hour, Golden Light & a Joy-Filled Reception

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before heading inside for the reception. Before the night fully began, we stepped away with Maddie and Brandon for a few quiet moments together in the soft summer light along Lake Michigan.

Inside the ballroom, the reception unfolded with heartfelt toasts, joyful dancing, and nonstop energy. With panoramic lake views, elegant white florals, fresh greenery, and gold accents, the space felt sophisticated yet warm. Every part of Maddie and Brandon’s wedding reflected who they are, timeless, joyful, and deeply connected to family and tradition. It was an absolute honor to document their celebration along the shores of Lake Michigan.
