As a Milwaukee wedding photographer, I’ve been fortunate to document love stories at both local gems and breathtaking destinations. Julia and Alex’s wedding at Fête in Wales, Wisconsin, was a beautiful mix of romance and laughter. These unforgettable moments were set against the lush countryside backdrop this venue is known for.

An Outdoor Ceremony Surrounded by Nature

Julia and Alex said “I do” in the most magical way. It was an outdoor ceremony surrounded by family and friends, with Wisconsin’s countryside as their witness. Their officiant, a beloved family member, brought both heartfelt words and lighthearted joy to the service, making the moment deeply personal.

The grounds of Fête provided the perfect backdrop, with greenery and open skies framing their vows. As I photographed their ceremony, I focused on the candid smiles, teary eyes, and small, meaningful glances that made their promises to each other so memorable.

Scenic Portraits + A Dreamy Rowboat Ride

After the ceremony, we explored the venue’s grounds for portraits, taking advantage of its natural beauty. One of the most magical moments came when Julia and Alex climbed into a light teal rowboat on the pond. As they drifted across the water, laughter echoing between them, I captured portraits that were both whimsical and timeless.

As the sun began to set, the golden-hour light reflected beautifully over the pond. The light wrapping Julia and Alex in a warm glow. These portraits truly showcased not only their love but also the breathtaking atmosphere Fête offers to couples.

A Joy-Filled Reception

The celebration continued indoors, where the reception was filled with joy from start to finish. Guests shared heartfelt toasts, laughed until their cheeks hurt, and danced the night away with Julia and Alex at the center of it all. I made sure to capture the energy on the dance floor and the sweet, in-between moments that made their evening unforgettable.
