Meet Kathryn + Mitch

Kathryn and Mitch meet in Lansing, Michigan where Kathryn is a teacher. They are very laid-back people and in their words a little awkward. Kathryn and Mitch love to have fun and describe themselves as “goofy” people.

The Proposal

Mitch and Kathryn went on their first trip together in Colorado in 2016. As they were climbing, Kate felt nervous to be hiking on this mountain path, and not on a trail. They climbed up together to a gorgeous outlook. This last year they went again to visit Mitch’s best friend from college (groomsmen) in Colorado. They attempted to find the same spot, but are unsure if they succeeded or not. As Katheryn was looking off into the distance, Mitch go down on one knee. He felt like he was down there forever because she wasn’t turning around. Then finally, when she did he proposed!

Wedding Vision & Planning

Mitch and Kathryn wanted a special day to celebrate with their family and friends. They hoped for an outdoor ceremony because both love the outdoors. The couple chose September since the fall is their favorite time of the year. Lastly, Kathryn and Mitch chose Milwaukee since they plan to move here one day and wanted a special location they could revisit throughout the years. To accent, the beauty of fall the wedding colors of sage, blush, navy, gold, and maroon was chosen.

All the Details

The wedding coordinator, Renee Breanne recommended Poppy Flowers to the couple. They went with mixes of blush and maroon with lots of greenery. Kathryn’s dress was chosen at Becker’s Bridal in Lansing, MI while surrounded with close family. Mitch and Kathryn also chose Gigi’s cupcakes for their reception since Mitch loves cupcakes!
