Why Stressing Out About Wedding Day Family Photos Sucks, and How to Fix It!

I think that we can all agree that weddings are a remarkably joyful and possibly stressful time! You spend months planning, coordinating, and organizing all of the details so that the day of your wedding you can celebrate without a care in the world!

But watch out! One detail that is often overlooked is a plan for your wedding day family photos! I have personally witnessed many brides scrambling to make sure you have a photo of everyone. Checking to see if they missed any family members. Or making sure that Grandma and Grandpa don’t have to stand too long waiting for their turn.

How could we have fixed this mess? If you know me at all you know what I’m going to say!

MAKE A LIST!

A WEDDING DAY FAMILY PHOTOS LIST TO BE SPECIFIC.

It’s a simple and easy way to de-stress your family formal photos process for everyone!

STEP 1

Write your list of must-have family photos! Think of all of the people you would like to include, as well as the groups you would like them split into.

For example, you might want your parents and siblings in one photo, and then just you and your siblings in another.

STEP 2

Consult your fiance, parents, and future in-laws about images they may want. This way the photos are planned and enough time is scheduled to get all of them done!

STEP 3

Give your list to your wedding photographer who can take it from there! So you and sit there and smile knowing you aren’t skipping Grandpa Joe, Aunty Karen, or wacky Uncle Bob.

Each family is unique, but it is a great place to start. You can then customize it to fit your family’s needs from there!
