Why do I love being a Milwaukee wedding photographer? There are probably too many reasons to count or even have time to write, but a few major ones really stick out. These reasons are why photography is my passion. They are why it makes my heart happy.

I am a still teacher at heart.

Wedding photography channels my inner teacher in way more ways than you’d think.

First and foremost, I am a lifelong learner at heart. Wedding photography is ever-evolving and changing. I absolutely love this! I am always able to learn something new and challenge myself to grow even more than I thought possible.

Secondly, wrangling a fun-loving bridal party or energetic extended family for portraits heavily relies on my sweet teacher skills. I am able to grab their attention, capture beautiful images, and send them off to enjoy the rest of the wedding celebration!

I love a good list.

I love to plan. To make lists. Cross off goals. It makes me feel I accomplished something with my day. Planning drives me to get more done tomorrow. In short, it’s a large part of my personality.

It is also a huge part of why I am successful as a Milwaukee wedding photographer. I create lists for my couples! So on the day of their wedding there is no stress surrounding their wedding photography experience.

I love using lists on a wedding day. Family formal shot list with names of the immediate family. List of the bridal party members. Day of vendors. Wedding photography timeline. Just to name a few. All of this information is collected through an easy online questionnaire or over the phone a month before each wedding. So on the day of the wedding, my couples sit back and smile as I handle the stressful part of organizing!

I am a bit of a people person.

I am by nature extroverted. This will come as no surprise to anyone that’s met me. I usually have very little problem starting a conversation with anyone and everyone. I love talking and listening to people.

This part of me loves that through photography I am able to meet new people. I am able to connect with my clients and learn more about them as I document the start of their marriage.

Most importantly, because of this, I am able to help my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera so that their photography experience is relaxed, fun, and joy-filled.
