WEDDING AT BIRCH MKE

Sarah and Matt were wed on August 6th with a ceremony and reception at Birch MKE in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

MEET SARAH + MATT

Sarah and Matt met at work. They both work in IT. He came in for an interview, and Sarah thought who is this guy? They didn’t like each other at first. Sarah thought he was a know it all. Matt thought she was too bossy. Then when placed on a work project together on Good Friday, they realized they had quite a few things in common including video games. Their boss suggested they should go out on a date, and they did!

Sarah and Matt love doing stuff around the house and trying new foods. They recently bought a new house in Slinger together, where they love the small-town feel. They also love watching HGTV together. Sarah works remotely because her headquarters is in Minnesota, with offices in New Berlin that she occasionally travels to. Matt works for BMO and drives to Brookfield every day. He is not a fan of the drive and traffic.

THE PROPOSAL

Matthew was freaking out at their house closing and acting weird as they signed the papers. After the closing, they went to their house with their realtor to take a photo with the sold sign. Matt bent down to “tie his shoe” and got down on one knee! He had preplanned it with the real estate agent to take photos of the proposal!

WEDDING VISION & PLANNING

Sarah and Matthew wanted to make sure to have a great time while planning their wedding. They started with a color palette of sage green, white, reds, oranges, and natural colors. Sarah’s gown was actually a last-minute purchase that she fell in love with. The couple provided his and her favorite candy as their wedding favors. Many of the elements of their wedding were created by Sarah and Matthew themselves!
