According to Kelsey, she is type-a while Brian is so go with the flow they call him type-z. He is very fun, goofy, spontaneous, and always up for an adventure.
These two love birds met on Tinder. Brian used the “worst pick up line ever”, and Kelsey only talked to him because it was fun to see what he might say next.
Brian proposed to Kelsey at 7 am on a Thursday morning. He made a tackle box that spelled out, “You’re my best catch.” Inside the tackle box was a ring with a lure that said, “Will you marry me?”
Kelsey says she is definitely not one of the girls who has had this dream wedding since they were a kid – but once Brian and she met they knew that they wanted the growlers included! Kelsey loves plants so green was an easy choice, and they wanted the suits to be navy, so the rest just pieced together from there!
The entire wedding vibe was greenery and simplicity!
description of wedding in own words & favorite moment of the day
Kelsey’s wedding gown is from Tie the Knot in Green Bay, and nothing like what she expected to like! Kelsey was thinking she would pick something very geometric and funky, and ended up with a simple and clean satin dress with accessories and belts for sparkle!! Kelsey didn’t forget to add sparkly shoes for the wedding, and sparkly Packer shoes for the reception! Kelsey and Brian’s flowers are very simple as well – green, blue and white and flowy.
Kelsey and Brian’s centerpieces were growlers from breweries that they have visited together! They also had various size amber beer bottles as they both love beer! Kelsey’s friend even made a sign that says “I love you to the brewery and back”.
The table numbers were from a birch tree from my Kelsey’s parents’ house, and there were live edge decorations. At the ceremony, Kelsey and Brian planted a unity tree with dirt and water from their hometowns. The couple the signs at the reception that were displayed on, and they even put together their own ceremony music list as Kelsey wanted a variety of artists.
“Start early! We got engaged on a Thursday morning and I was already looking at venues by Saturday! Brian thought I was crazy for starting so early, but we were able to get our ceremony venue, reception venue (catering included), and photographer booked in 2 weeks, and then we could enjoy some time together! I also used The Knot app, in the beginning, to get the big things done, but now I have a checklist on my notes so I can personalize it for what we need. Ask for help! Everyone is so willing to help, but it’s hard to give them tasks, so having a list helps me to see what items I can ask them to help with and which I want more control over. Think back to weddings you attended or were part of and learn from the items you enjoyed or thought would go better if something else happened.”
Huge thank you to all of the amazing wedding vendors that made Kelsey + Brian’s day run seamlessly. Congratulations Kelsey and Brian on the start of your next great adventure 🙂
