The Gardens grant you the ability to hold a church wedding in a country setting. With stunning gardens, historic cream city brick church, and rustic industrial decor, it is the perfect venue for a truly unique indoor and outdoor experience.

THE HISTORY OF THE GARDENS WEDDING CENTER

The Gardens are located amongst a collection of historic buildings once known as Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The original chapel, a log cabin, was built in 1844. But it’s current large gothic revival chapel was built in 1867 from cream city brick fired right on the property.

The chapel remained a place of worship until the 1990s. The chapel then became home to a variety of family businesses including occasionally a wedding venue until the current owners, Johan & Julie Johanson fell in love with the property and purchased it.

Johan and Julie adjusted The Gardens business model into a full-time wedding venue offering ceremonies and receptions. Johan, previously a photographer, gradually took his artistic eye from behind the camera and turned it to transforming the grounds into the perfect lush garden backdrop and renovating the interiors. Five years later the property has now matured into a lush landscape of flowering trees, shrubs, and perennials.

CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATIONS

The Gardens Wedding Center offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony space and a large historic chapel that are both included in your wedding day package.

For your reception, The Gardens offers an indoor schoolhouse for gatherings with up to 50 guests as well as a large high peaked tent for an outdoor reception of up to 150 guests.

GUEST ACCOMMODATIONS

Plenty of hotel accommodations are available in nearby Hartford and West Bend. The Gardens is conveniently just off Hwy 41 and centrally located between Milwaukee, Madison, and the Fox Valley making it a perfect place to meet in the middle for a wedding in the fresh country air.
